Additive Void

Additive Void is about layering and temporal illusions, about objectifying and abstracting, evoking memories but subtracting pieces, and adding malleable components that permit change and self-appropriation of settings.

The project implies an overlay of a new system over pre-existing conditions, which re-appropriate the form as a ruin stripped down of existing use and meaning, and reinterpreted to allow new, different activities and programs. This way, every existing form permits countless opportunities, offers accommodations for daily needs (such as eating, napping, exercising, and other activities), and transformation or revisit of the familiar.
